Erin, I wish you could have heard the conversations that I was fortunate enough to have with so many SHS students last Friday. As a former SHS counselor I was invited back to assist with grief support. The stories, artwork and writings were so amazing. Your pride would be beaming. I will gladly share more with you at any time! Mark took the credit for turning around a potential suicide, drug use, truancy, self concepts and unhealthy relationships. He IS the reason why many students and staff persevered and returned to school or work each day. Knowing that we had a leader at work who genuinely cared about us and routinely could entertain us - will NEVER be taken for granted! We were all so blessed!
